Vetafarm Coccivet ‐ Coccidiosis Treatment for Birds

Vetafarm Coccivet is a highly effective, water-soluble coccidia treatment for pigeons and ornamental birds. It features a twin-active formula that works in synergy to safely and efficiently clear infection over a 7-day course of treatment. Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease caused by protozoa known as coccidia. The disease may result in nutrient malabsorption, dehydration, weight loss, fluffed feathers, loose droppings, and blood loss and make the bird susceptible to secondary infections. The lack of prompt treatment may also result in fatalities. Therefore, safeguard your bird’s health by treating the condition with safe and efficient Vetafarm Coccivet.

How it works?

Coccivet is a dual-active formulation with much better activity against parasites than sulphur treatments. It may be prepared as a flock dose for large numbers of birds or a singular and small aviary dose. The treatment contains two active ingredients, amprolium and ethopabate, which kill protozoan infections within a week. Also, please note that when treating for coccidiosis, it is important to thoroughly clean all aviaries and environments, using a disinfectant such as Vetafarm Avicare, at the same time to help prevent reinfection.

Guidelines:

• Treat birds continuously for 5-7 days.
• Remove all other sources of drinking water during treatment.
• Repeat the treatment as required.
• Strictly do not use in food producing species of animals.

Recommended dosage:

• Flock dose rate: Mix 15 ml of Coccivet in 10L of clean drinking water.
• Small aviary and singular bird dose: Mix 1 drop (0.05 ml) per 30 ml of clean drinking water.
