- Ensure the bag of food is completely sealed between uses and stored in a clean, dry environment
- Keep the food inside its original packaging, and store the bag of food inside a sealed container – do not pour the food out of the bag
- Ensure all feeding bowls and equipment is washed with soap and thoroughly rinsed after each meal – store the equipment inside a sealed container
